I am a registered psychologist providing Medicare approved counselling and psychology services. I have been providing therapeutic interventions for over 15 years in a wide range of settings including early intervention services, community mental health, and forensic rehabilitation. I find it a great privilege to be invited to participate in a client’s journey towards a more fulfilling, meaningful life and better health and wellbeing. I provide therapeutic interventions to clients presenting with a range of complex issues, including depression and anxiety, personality disorders and substance misuse. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals who are affected by trauma-related difficulties and I have a thorough understanding of the impact of early life experiences in shaping a person's development.

I uphold client-centred principles and, depending on the client's priorities, needs and preferences, I use a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, drawing from Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and attachment based interventions.

Schema Therapy is a long-term therapeutic modality that aims to promote a deeper understanding of the nature of problems and symptoms in the context of one’s early developmental history and subsequent long-term effects on functioning.  Cognitive, behavioural, and emotion-focused interventions are applied within this approach, as well as an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, including the notion of limited re-parenting, which aims to address early gaps in emotional development.
